Apollo Browser Extension Privacy Notice

This notice describes how Apollo Healthcare Technologies, Inc. ("Apollo") handles information through the Apollo browser extension. The extension is available only to authorized users of Apollo's enterprise healthcare customers.
Information the extension handles
The extension operates in the background only on supported electronic health record ("EHR") and healthcare portal pages. It may access patient, clinical, and administrative information visible on those pages, including protected health information ("PHI").
The extension transmits to Apollo only selected information needed to provide Apollo's contracted services. This may include the URL of the supported page, user, account, and record identifiers, authentication information, IP addresses, and technical and diagnostic logs.
The extension does not operate on unsupported websites or collect users' general browsing history.
How Apollo uses information
Apollo uses information handled through the extension only to:
- Authenticate authorized users;
- Provide the extension's documented healthcare workflow features;
- Read and process selected information from supported applications;
- Insert information into supported applications with user confirmation;
- Maintain the security, reliability, and performance of the service;
- Provide customer-authorized support; and
- Comply with applicable legal and contractual obligations.
Disclosure and handling
Apollo uses contracted service providers, including cloud infrastructure and AI-processing providers, to host, secure, operate, and provide its services. These providers may process information only as necessary to provide Apollo's contracted services and are subject to applicable confidentiality, security, data-protection, and HIPAA/BAA obligations.
Information may also be disclosed to the enterprise customer that authorized the user, when required by law, or when necessary to protect the service. Authorized Apollo personnel may access information for customer-authorized support, security, or legal compliance.
Information is protected using appropriate technical and organizational safeguards and is retained and deleted in accordance with applicable law and Apollo's agreements and Business Associate Agreements with its enterprise customers.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use
Apollo's use and transfer of information received through Chrome APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
